1. Castor Oil

  • Warm up enough amounts of castor oil.
  • Apply the warm oil on the scalp and along the hair.
  • Gently massage in circular motions for few minutes.
  • Cover with a shower cap and leave it on overnight.

  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times in a day until you achieve the results.

2. Castor Oil and Almond Oil

Almond oil is rich in vitamin E which is essential for strengthening hair strands. When almond oil and castor oil are mixed, it becomes more effective to treat baldness.

  • Combine equal amounts of castor oil and almond oil.
  • Apply the mixture on the scalp and along the hair.
  • Gently massage the scalp in circular motions for few minutes.
  • Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for 1 hour to overnight.
  • Rinse your hair normally with shampoo and water.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times in a week.

3. Castor Oil and Lemon Essential Oil

  • Combine 8 tablespoons of castor oil and 1 tablespoon of lemon essential oil.

  • Combine 3 tablespoons of castor oil and 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil.

Note: You can replace the jojoba oil with argan oil. For more effective results, you can add few drops of any essential oil like peppermint oil, rosemary, tea tree oil or any other.

5. Natural Hair Growth Recipe with Castor Oil

  • Into a glass bottle, add 1/4 cup of castor oil, 1 teaspoon of black cumin seed oil, 1/2 teaspoon rosemary oil and 15 drops of lavender essential oil.
  • Close the lid and shake the bottle.
  • Spray some water to moisten the hair.
  • Apply the enough amounts of the mixture on the scalp and along the hair.
  • Massage the scalp for 5 minutes and cover it with a warm towel.
  • Leave it on for few hours and rinse your hair normally.
  • Repeat the process 2 times in a week.

6. Castor Oil and Coconut Oil

The essential fatty acids present in coconut oil bind to the proteins in hair, and strengthen the hair strands in order to reduce breakage.

  • Combine 3 tablespoons of castor oil and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.
  • You can add few drops of any essential oil into the mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into a glass bottle.
  • Close the lid tightly and place it in hot water for few minutes.
  • Once the oil is warm, apply it on the scalp and along the hair.
  • Massage for few minutes and cover your head with a shower cap.
  • Leave it on for few hours to overnight.
  • Rinse your hair normally with mild shampoo and water.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times in a week until you achieve the results.

Note: You can add 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil into the mixture for more effective results.

7. Essential Oil Mix

The ingredients present in this mixture stimulate blood circulation, support’s healthy hair growth and removes dryness of the hair.

  • Combine 5 – 7 drops of tea tree oil, 3.5 oz of olive oil, 2 oz of grapeseed oil, 10 – 15 drops of almond oil, 1 teaspoon of Jamaican castor oil, 1 oz of jojoba oil, 1/2 teaspoon of vitamin E and 8 drops of rosemary oil.
  • Apply the enough amounts of the mixture on the scalp and along the hair.
  • Massage in circular motions for few minutes.
  • Put on a shower cap and leave it on for few hours.
  • Rinse off with mild shampoo and water.
  • Repeat the process 3 times in a week.

8. Castor Oil with Peppermint Oil and Tea Tree Oil

Peppermint oil is rich in fatty acids and essential properties which are helpful in maintaining the scalp healthy. The antimicrobial properties of tea tree oil deal with scalp infections causing baldness.

  • Using a double boiler, melt 4 tablespoons of coconut oil.
  • Once it is melted, add 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil, 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint oil, 1 teaspoon of castor oil and 1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil.
  • Mix well and apply it on the scalp.
  • Leave it on for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse off with mild shampoo and water.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times in a week.

Note: If your scalp is sensitive, then avoid using peppermint oil.

9. Castor Oil and hibiscus Petals

Hibiscus petals are rich in amino acids which help to strengthen the hair roots, and keep your locks healthy.

  • Combine equal amounts of castor oil and olive oil.
  • Add few hibiscus petals and warm up the mixture.
  • Once it is warm, remove from the flame.
  • Apply the solution on the scalp and along the hair.
  • Cover your head with steamed towel to lock the moisture.
  • Leave it on for an hour and wash your hair normally.
  • Repeat the process 3 times in week.

Note: You can add rosemary oil or lavender oil instead of hibiscus petals.

10. Castor Oil and Avocado Oil

Due to its high penetration power, it prevents hair loss and deals with various problems that lead to baldness.

  • Mix equal amounts of castor oil and avocado oil.
  • Apply the mixture on the scalp and along the hair.
  • Leave it on for few hours to overnight.
  • Rinse off with mild shampoo and water.
  • Repeat the process 2 – 3 times in a week.

Note: You can add olive oil into the mixture for more effectiveness.

Tips and Precautions:

  • You can add few drops of castor oil with hair conditioner and apply it along the hair. Wait for few minutes and rinse off with water. This helps to soften and strengthen the hair shaft.
  • Jamaican castor oil is a special type of castor oil which provides effective results for thick or dry hair.
  • Avoid using hair styling products until you resolve the problem.
  • Dirty hair is more likely get infected and lead to hair loss. So, wash your hair regularly.
  • Avoid using shampoo and conditioners that contain harmful chemicals like paraben, sulfates and many others.
  • Follow a healthy lifestyle. Include food rich in iron, potassium, calcium, vitamins and minerals in your daily diet.
  • Avoid blow-drying your hair regularly as it dries out the scalp and damages the hair follicles.
  • Avoid combing and rough toweling your hair when it is still wet as it can lead to breakage.
  • Avoid wearing hair styles that pull your hair tightly. The friction can to breakage of the hair shafts.
  • Drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins and hydrate the scalp.
